New Calling

So, last sunday I was called to be the "building cleaning coordinator." I'm not sure how I feel about this calling. On the one hand, I'm relieved to be out of primary for once (I've served there for 10 of the last 12 years), but I miss the kids too. I hate calling people on the phone and asking people to do things, so I don't really look forward to THAT aspect of my new calling. However, it IS an easy calling to fulfill as long as I find people each week to clean the building. I wont have to clean the building all the time unless I forget to assign people to clean. So there you go. That is my illustrious new calling! lol. We'll see how it all works out.

Hey Shelly. First off congrates?!?! Hehehe. Make a scheduale for everyone. Start at the top of the ward list and assign 2-3 familys a week to clean the building. Then have it posted in the Sunday sacrament program. THen all you would need to do is call and remind the familys of their duties for that week. Thats what they do here in our ward. It seems to work

It's funny how callings often take us out of our comfort zone. But if there is anything I have learned in life it is that everything happens for a reason. I'm sure good things that you never expected will come of your new calling. =)

So, you're not the choir director, huh? How sad. It sounds like they won't be filling that one 'till they have to (Christmas time, like they always did before it was me). I wish you luck in the new calling.

You will do fantasticly. I just don't see you not puttin your all into a calling. Callings are always intimidating but that is why we have them- to challenge ourselves
