Do you have those days where you just don't want to supervise, help with, and check chores? That's how I feel today. I want the house cleaned, but I know that my 4 year old isn't capable of doing all his chores on his own. I know that the 6 year old needs to have some supervision to make sure everything actually gets done. I know that my 8 year old needs to have the chores checked to make sure she followed through with everything. I know that I have my own list of chores that need to be done. I just don't wanna!!!!!! Thank you for letting me rant. Now back to your scheduled programming.

There's got to be an easier way to keep a home clean and kids helping...But I have no idea what way that is. :) Right now, I just ask for the kids help as I need it, but I do want them to have jobs (responsibilities). We've been trying to figure out hubby's health problems, so getting the kids on board with jobs has taken the backburner. Typically, we expect Mm and Rr to clean the bathrooms (with very little supervision, just some reminding) once a week and before dinner, all toys need to be picked up off the floor of the living room and in their bedrooms. Laundry I still struggle with...I try to remember to have my kids put their own things away and they are usually good about it, which helps! They all like to vacuum, so sometimes I let them do that and I ask them to sweep the kitchen floor and wipe the table and occasionally they help with the dishes. It's hard to remember to require their help, though, honestly. That's why I need a job chart again, but I don't want to figure it out on my own without hubby's help because it becomes "one more thing" I have to do, you know??
Enough rambling. I have no idea if that even helped. :)
