We really don't either. It used to be HUGE, but now it's kinda dumb to us. You should ALWAYS show your partner you love them instead of one day a year. We are just writing thankful for notes to each other. You're not alone!
Ya we dont really either. O well right. Actually Ben isnt big on celebrating much of anything. He kinda is but to him V-day, B-days, anniversiory and Christmas really arent a big deal. Anything that consists of giving a gift he isnt to big on. Ya I picked a winner. :) J/K You know I love him to death
I am ALL about making it a kid day...so I usually do something fun for the kids so that they know how much they mean to me. I once told Josh that Valentines Day was about letting ALL the people you know how much you love them, not just a boyfriend/girlfriend, or hubby/wife...So he spent the day calling EVERYONE he loved. It's fun to watch them express that love, too. Just try and do something fun for the kids!! I love making heart shaped pancakes in the morning...LOL (with chocolate chip smiley faces and whip cream) LOL AND don't forget that I LOVE YOU! You are such a good friend and a wonderful daughter of God who also loves you.
I think that if we don't get our expectations up about Valentine's being a big, special, romantic day that it can be really fun. It is so cute to watch the kids learn to show their love for others and it is just a nice reminder that we should be finding more ways to show our loved ones that they are loved. =)
She's a stay-at-home, homeschool mom of 4 kids. She loves reading, listening to music, playing board games, and hanging out with family and friends.
He works at Teleperformance and is going to school at the OWATC to get into graphic design.

It's only a halmark holiday and we should show our love for our significant others on a regular basis.

You all may feel differently when your kids are older and not needing so much one-on-one care.

Totally understand!
I like love but I don't need a cheap or an expensive stuffed gorilla holding a heart! E-Gads!
All I want is a good movie or book to be enjoyed while snuggling in bed.
Of course I do like chocolate but that can wait until after hiked up prices for Valentines have passed.
